The ICT (Industrie Cartarie Tronchetti) Group, one of the top producers and converters of tissue products, has placed an order with Andritz to supply a second tissue machine for its Kostrzyn, Poland mill. Start up of TM 12 is scheduled for the first quarter of 2008. A new machine that Andritz supplied for ICT’s mill in Spain started up in 2005.
The scope of supply comprises a complete CrescentFormer tissue machine, including a PrimeControl Automation System and a stock preparation system with Papillon™ refiners. The tissue machine will have a width of 5.55 m and a design speed of 1900 m/min. It will be used to produce primarily toilet paper and kitchen rolls.
The Andritz PrimeLine machine components, namely the PrimeFlow 2-layer headbox (glossary), ribbed PrimeDry Yankee dryer, dust removal system, and PrimeReel Advanced technology, will enable the mill to produce light colored sanitary paper as well as all other products for the consumer market from 100% virgin fiber furnish. The paper produced on the new tissue machine will be mainly converted to high-quality toilet and kitchen rolls, marketed under ICT's "Foxy" brand.
