Boreal Facts
Over 50 percent of the world's Boreal forests are in Russia. The rest are mainly in Canada,
Sweden, Norway, Finland and Alaska. The Boreal region of Canada is 530 million hectares,
represents 53 percent of Canada's total land area and includes 75 percent of Canada's forests. Canada is a leader in sustainable forest management.
